Lake Success, N.Y. (June 16, 2014) – The Garden City Group, Inc. (GCG), the leading provider of legal administration services, is pleased to announce the promotions of Ellen Riley and Ken Kuveke to assistant vice president. Both are based in the firm’s New York headquarters.
With 22 years of class action experience at GCG, Riley oversees the firm’s East Coast quality assurance team, helping GCG to maintain the most rigorous quality control, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance programs in the industry. She has played an important role in coordinating audits of GCG’s administrations. Notably, in each of five recent independent audits of GCG, the auditors have found GCG’s claims processing to be at least 99.97% accurate. Riley has also been instrumental in many of GCG’s most complex matters, including Tyco International Securities Litigation, Nortel Networks Corp., Securities Litigation (I and II), the Bank of America Corp. Securities Litigation, and the Royal Ahold N.V. Securities & ERISA Litigation.
Kuveke brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to his role managing GCG’s banking and distribution team. He serves as the day-to-day contact for U.S. and international banks to distribute settlement funds, manages client settlement fund accounts, and keeps GCG out in front of technological and anti-fraud developments in the financial sector. In the past year, Kuveke oversaw the distribution of more than 2.5 million checks and managed more than 400 settlement funds. He has served as an integral part of GCG’s teams in several cases of note, including the $3.4 billion Cobell v. Salazar Indian Trust settlement, the $3.2 billion Tyco Securities Litigation settlement, and the $147.5 million Washington Mutual Securities Litigation settlement.
