Thomas Jones is a seasoned financial restructuring professional with over 15 years of experience at several global financial advisory and consulting firms providing turnaround consulting, corporate finance, forensic accounting, litigation support and other strategic advisory services. His wide-ranging sector experience includes pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, chemicals and financial services.

Mr. Jones draws upon his bankruptcy experience representing debtors as well as creditors and various committees in which he has provided strategic advice at all stages within numerous complex reorganizations and liquidation scenarios. His experience managing numerous corporate recovery and advisory engagements, including multiple section 363 sales, liquidations, and other out-of-court restructurings, positions him to advise GCG’s clients at each phase of their proceeding.  Further, Mr. Jones’ vast knowledge, experience and analysis of financial data, creditor claims and contracts with global companies of all sizes amplifies GCG’s unparalleled administrative services and expertise in reorganizations, insolvency proceedings and other types of bankruptcy matters within the United States and internationally.

Prior to joining GCG, Mr. Jones held leadership and advisory roles at a number of financial advisory and consulting firms including Ernst & Young, Mesirow Financial Consulting, Capstone Corporate Recovery and FTI Consulting. In those roles, he developed highly sought-after corporate recovery and turnaround expertise with financial due diligence procedures including preparation and management of SOFAs and Schedules, contract review and assessment, claims reconciliation, vendor negotiations and assessment, net asset reviews and detailed analyses of cash flow projections.  He also gained significant litigation support experience managing forensic accounting investigations, valuation disputes, fraudulent conveyance actions and debt re-characterization efforts.

A Certified Public Accountant in New York, Mr. Jones spent the earlier years of his career providing financial audit and internal controls services and managed numerous internal compliance projects at both Phillip Morris USA and a multinational advertising agency headquartered in New York.
